Megrisoft Limited UK has successfully attended the 5 days event from 19th March to 23rd March 2018, IT CEOs Mission to the United Kingdom by the British deputy high commissioner of the Chandigarh region along with the founders and chief executives of leading IT businesses.
The IT mission to UK 2018 is headed by Mr Charanjiv Bachhar, Deputy Head of Mission, British Deputy High Commission Chandigarh. He said, “The main aim of this mission is to encourage and establish strong business relationships between UK and India to identify future potential work opportunities and collaborations.”
Ms Aprajita Kohli, the Head of European Business Development, Megrisoft Limited UK represented Megrisoft in this event along with other IT professionals from Chandigarh, India.
The delegation from India featured the top CEO of information technology businesses from the Chandigarh region and observed best practices in the UK by visiting different Universities, city councils and governing bodies while exploring new business opportunities through interaction with UK Companies.
The first-day event started from Leeds, UK, where the first session started at AQL with a presentation on data hosting and colocation services. After that Indian CEO delegation got time to interview Greg Wright, Deputy Business Editor Yorkshire Post.
Andrew Ayre, Head of British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh, India, Professor Lisa Roberts Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation, University of Leeds and Amarjit Singh, the Chairman of Yorkshire Asian Business Association addressed the It delegation on the first-day event.
The Lord Mayor welcomed and greeted India’s inbound mission delegation where the delegation also gets time to have a tour of the Civic Hall.
Indian Delegation visited Leeds Institute for Data Analytics which was established in 2014 with major investments from the UK Research Councils and the University of Leeds, LIDA has developed state of the art physical and IT infrastructures to raise the bar in standards of data quality, access, protection and exploitation.
The first-day event ended with a reception after the roundtable discussion with Leeds City Council and a discussion on business opportunities at the Leeds University Business School.
