Vaisakhi, an important festival for Sikhs, Punjabis and Punjab in India and all over the world. The festival marks the start of religious Punjabi new year and celebrated with great pump and show.
At the Sikh Channel Birmingham, The Vaisakhi was much more special and the message was sent to all the community. Sikh Channel Completed its 10 years and It was also the commemoration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birth anniversary.
Sikh Channel Birmingham organize this Vaisakhi event every year on 13th or 14th April.
At The Sikh Channel, Event was organized by the team and was headed under the instruction of Mr. Davinder Bal, Founder, and CEO of Sikh Channel and Sikh Channel Aid.
Sikh Channel is world’s first free-to-air 24/7 Sikh faith-based television channel broadcasting religious faiths and Values of Sikhism. The aim is to bring the community together and understand the values of religion with promoting all faith with programming for all, Sikhs and non-Sikhs.

Thanks to Mr. Bal who gave us a chance to get to know more about Sikh Channel and the strong principles Sikh Channel is following and working on. We were delighted to get a chance to speak on the live Sikh Channel TV and our Director Miss Aprajita Kohli took part in delivering the message. She is working closely with the team and described how she is connected to Punjab and will be collaborating with Sikh Channel by concluding her message below.
“ I am Aprajita Kohli, Director of Megrisoft UK, we are 27 years old company and we have been working in the UK from the past 17 years. Megrisoft is commercially based in UK, US, Canada and headquartered in India. With my personal connections in Punjab, I have studied from Yadavindra Public School, which is Maharaja Patiala School and now managed by Chief Minister of Punjab. We are here today to collaborate with Sikh Channel, to Promote Sikh Youth and raise the awareness and issue of Women Empowerment. We are based in London and we will help the youth connected with Sikh Channel with initial help for there jobs, with Digital Cv’s, creating startups, making future strategies. Youth will be able to gain training sessions as Internships with our company and even get better-paid jobs. I have personally worked with British High Commission Chandigarh and discussed various Issues of Women empowerment in my last mission, where we did get a chance to speak Lord Mayor of Manchester and Lord Mayor London. So we look forward to seeing you all getting associated with Sikh Channel and bringing the society together.
